I enjoyed the experience a lot! I was very apprehensive leading up to it because it was a new thing but as it went on I felt super comfortable with Quincy in charge. What can I say? You can tell this lady knows how to deliver a baby. Quincy and her crew were perfectly on time and showed up ready to go! She had us prepared for everything. She took the time to build a solid relationship with us and understand our concerns. She was very patient with all of our questions. With her assistance we welcomed our little boy into the world and I was the first to see him! Thanks Quincy!

No need for the hospital!

Home births provide a unique and intimate experience for dads, fostering a deeper level of involvement and connection during the birthing process. Unlike in a hospital setting, where fathers may feel like passive observers, home births empower dads to play active and supportive roles. From the very beginning of labor, dads often find themselves deeply engaged in providing emotional and physical support to their partner. They have the opportunity to be present throughout the entire journey, offering encouragement, gentle touches, and reassuring words.

In the comfort of their own home, dads have the freedom to create a serene and comfortable environment, tailored to the birthing person’s preferences. They can actively participate in decision-making, contributing to the birthing plan and helping to set the tone for the experience. This level of involvement can be profoundly empowering for fathers, knowing that their support and presence directly impact their partner’s well-being and the birth of their child.

Additionally, home births foster stronger bonding moments between dads and their newborns. Immediately after birth, dads can be the first to hold and snuggle their baby, initiating a precious connection from the very start of life. The absence of medical interventions and unnecessary procedures often allows for uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact, facilitating the early bonding process.

Furthermore, being present during a home birth helps dads gain a deeper appreciation for the strength and resilience of their partner. Witnessing the trans-formative process of childbirth can lead to a newfound respect and admiration for the birthing person’s capabilities.

While home births can present unique challenges, such as being more hands-on and having a contingency plan in case of unforeseen circumstances, the overall experience of actively participating in the birth of their child can be a profoundly rewarding and emotionally fulfilling journey for dads.

My wife and I decided on a home birth with her second child. To say the least, or how about experience with Quincy was amazing.

My wife and I had our first child in the hospital.

The nurses and most other staff were very caring and attentive to our needs.

The doctor, unfortunately, seemed to care very little about how my wife felt or what she wanted. He was rough and unsympathetic to the pain she went through.

Home birth changed things. It opened my opens to the fact that childbirth can be a very positive experience, even though it can be so painful and traumatic.

Being able to help my wife give birth in the best possible way, we now have a healthy and happy baby girl.

Throughout the labor I felt I was able to help and give the support that my wife needed.

We are super grateful to Quincy and her help through each prenatal appointment, taking time to meet with my wife and provide questions to answers my wife had been scared to ask doctors our first time around!

Quincy was professional, caring, and very knowledgeable which aided in our comfort with our first home birth experience! It is safe to say we plan on having a home birth with our next child!”
